Business Need:

New York-based property consultant helps residential and commercial customers to purchase, sell, let, and manage properties through extensive listings of residential homes, retail spaces, commercial offices, farms and estates.

The property consultant maintained a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) portal to deliver accurate property information on price, location, amenities, and photos to real estate buyers, sellers and brokers globally. For this they compiled and organized vast amounts of structured and unstructured property information gathered from several property brochures and 1350+ online sources. Creating an integrated, structured, updated and accurate database was a herculean task.

Implementation

  • Designed a seamless workflow to seamlessly gather data from brochures, pdf files, spreadsheets and 1350+ online sources, and enter the information into the client database.
  • Property data information property name, location, owner, locality, lease rate, lease time, amenities, size, zip codes and photos was captured.
  • Used proprietary tools to standardize and cleanse the data to remove duplicates, junk characters and ensure adequate information in each field.

Verification and Quality Check

  • Implemented manual verification and validation process along with custom scripts, macros and bots to maintain optimum data security and quality.
  • To verify address and capture any missing information, the team used Google Maps and Street View.

Deliverables

  • The final deliverable were shared on client’s system by way of an integrated spreadsheet.
  • A turnaround time of three hours with receipt of input data was maintained.
